He expressed these views while chairing a meeting on the district’s upcoming polio campaign, which was attended by health officials, WHO representatives, and officers from various departments, including District Health Officer Dr. Anjum Baloch and WHO District Polio Officer Dr. Mujtabi Bajoi.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the campaign, which is scheduled to begin on May 18 and continue for four days. Officials informed participants that 40,269 children across 19 union councils in two tehsils of Kalat district will be administered polio drops during the drive.
Special teams will ensure that all children from birth to five years of age are vaccinated.

He called for collective efforts to combat the disease and urged community leaders, including religious scholars, journalists, and writers, to play their role in raising awareness about the importance of vaccination.
