DC inaugurates hospital improvement projects

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Nour-ul-Ain Qureshi visited Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital and inaugurated newly established waiting areas for patients and their attendants.

According to official sources, the deputy commissioner inspected the waiting areas set up outside the cardiology ward and radiology department, where benches, shade and clean drinking water facilities have been provided for visitors.

Medical Superintendent Dr Saud Afzal and other doctors were also present on the occasion.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner also reviewed the digitalization centre of the medical examination department and pathology laboratory, where computerized medical certificates and laboratory reports are being issued.

She also inaugurated a new parking facility for doctors at the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, Nour-ul-Ain Qureshi appreciated the initiatives taken by the hospital administration and said provision of improved and modern healthcare facilities to patients was a top priority.
