DC Hangu pledges open-door governance after meeting local elders

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Newly posted Deputy Commissioner Hangu Basir Ali Rahman on Wednesday held meetings with local elders, political and social figures and representatives of the National Youth after assuming charge as Deputy Commissioner of Hangu.

The visiting delegations congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner and assured full cooperation for public welfare, improved governance and development initiatives in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the district administration was committed to ensuring merit, transparency and the timely resolution of public issues.

He said an “open-door policy” would be followed to provide equal public access to administrative services and help restore trust in government institutions.

Rahman added that continuous engagement with public representatives, youth and local elders would play a key role in strengthening governance and promoting sustainable development in the district.
