DC enforces comprehensive Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness,security plan

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The district administration in Sargodha on Sunday finalized a comprehensive cleanliness,security and civic management plan for Eid-ul-Azha, deploying more than 5,500 sanitation workers and 1,000 machinery units across the district.

Deputy Commissioner(DC),Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry announced the arrangements while presiding over a meeting, stating that a dedicated control room and complaint cell had been established to ensure waste collection complaints were addressed within 10 to 15 minutes.

According to the district administration,22 dumping points have been designated in urban areas and 112 in rural areas for the disposal of animal remains during the three days of Eid.

Authorities were also distributing 350,000 biodegradable bags among citizens with an estimated target of disposing of around 8,500 tons of waste.

The DC warned that strict action would be taken against individuals throwing offal or animal waste into canals and waterways,adding that violators could face fines of up to Rs.

Section-144 has also been imposed across the district,banning the roasting of animal heads and hooves in public places as well as the burning of waste.

As part of security measures,the administration prohibited the flying of drones,pigeon rearing and other restricted activities near PAF Base Mushaf and other declared no-flying zones.

DC further said temporary swings had been banned, while fitness certificates had been obtained for swings already installed in public parks.

Special cleanliness operations,including the sprinkling of disinfectants and rose water would be carried out at graveyards, Eidgahs and mosques.

WASA officials were also directed to ensure regular water sprinkling in areas affected by ongoing sewerage projects to minimize dust.

Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry added that leaves of all local government officers and staff had been cancelled during the Eid holidays and urged citizens to cooperate with the administration in ensuring the success of the “Clean Sargodha” campaign.
