DC directs immediate roof cleaning of public schools

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Owais Mushtaq on Monday visited Government Boys High School and Government Girls High School on Khadim Ali Road to review facilities and cleanliness arrangements.

During the visit, he inspected classrooms, washrooms and other school facilities, reviewed sanitation arrangements and interacted with school staff regarding the overall condition of the institutions.

He stressed that a clean, safe and well-maintained educational environment was essential

for improving quality of education and ensuring the well-being of students.

According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner's Office, the deputy commissioner directed the chief executive officer education to ensure the immediate cleaning of roofs at all government schools in view of the monsoon season so that rainwater could drain properly and no obstruction caused by accumulated debris could pose a safety risk.

He said the district administration was committed to ensuring that all public schools remained safe, clean and fully functional during the rainy season, enabling students to continue their education without disruption.
