DC Attock reviews development projects, inspects Afghan holding centre

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock Dr. Mudassir Ahmed Shah, accompanied by Addi. DC (General) Anil Saeed, visited various parts of the city on Friday to review ongoing development projects and administrative arrangements. AC Arif Qureshi, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Attock Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan, and other relevant officials were also present.

Dr. Mudassir inspected the under-construction Attock bypass. Officials briefed him on the progress, pace of construction, and expected completion of the project.

He directed the concerned departments to further accelerate construction work while ensuring that all work meets the prescribed quality standards. He emphasized that the project should be completed at the earliest to improve traffic flow, facilitate commuters, and ease congestion in the city.

Officials informed him that construction on the bypass is progressing swiftly and that the project is expected to be completed soon.

The DC also instructed all relevant departments to maintain close coordination to ensure timely completion of the scheme.

Later, Dr. Mudassir Ahmed Shah visited the Afghan Holding Centre, where he inspected the facilities, administrative arrangements, and overall management. Officials informed him that all necessary arrangements had been made in accordance with the government’s code of conduct and prescribed guidelines.

The DC directed the concerned officials to ensure strict compliance with all government-issued SOPs and the code of conduct at the holding centre. He further instructed them to continuously monitor all arrangements and take immediate corrective measures in case of any shortcomings or issues.
