DC Abbottabad directs improvement in healthcare services at Benazir Teaching Hospital

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram has directed authorities to enhance healthcare facilities, including availability of medicines, laboratory services and emergency care, during a visit to Benazir Teaching Hospital here Saturday.

The Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by City Mayor Sardar Shuja Nabi, reviewed the overall situation of service delivery at the hospital and discussed measures to improve facilities for citizens in line with the provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap.

Medical Superintendent DHQ, Dr. Aamir Israr, briefed the delegation in detail regarding the provision of healthcare services and ongoing arrangements at the hospital.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner issued instructions to ensure better delivery of health services as per government directives, emphasizing the need to provide all necessary medical facilities to the public.

Chairman District Reconciliation Committee, Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad, Deputy DMS, Deputy Director Finance, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
