Darra Bazaar inspected for cleanliness, price control measures

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner Darra Muhammad Arif on Monday carried out an inspection of Darra Bazaar to review cleanliness arrangements and implementation of official price control measures.

During the visit, officials inspected tandoors, sweet shops, meat outlets, fruit and vegetable stalls, and bakeries across the market. Shopkeepers were directed to strictly follow government-approved price lists, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure the use of accurate weights and measures.

The inspection was aimed at protecting consumer rights and improving sanitation conditions in the local market. Authorities warned that strict legal action would be taken against traders found violating official pricing regulations or cleanliness requirements.

District administration officials said the ongoing inspections reflected the government’s commitment to regulating markets and safeguarding public interest in Kohat.
