Danasar Bus accident claims 39 lives, rescue efforts continue

DANASAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) A devastating bus accident in the Danasar area has left 39 passengers dead and 10 others injured, triggering an urgent rescue operation.

The ill-fated bus was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar when it met with the accident in the Danasar area of Sherani district.

Rescue teams from the Medical Emergency Response Centers (MERC) rushed to the site and have so far recovered 39 deceased bodies while rescuing 10 injured passengers, who were immediately provided medical assistance.

MERC’s Central Command and Control confirmed that emergency teams remain actively engaged in recovery operations, working tirelessly to ensure all victims are accounted for.

Authorities emphasized that the rescue mission is ongoing, with the focus on saving lives, recovering victims, and delivering timely medical support.
