Dacoit killed in alleged encounter

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) A dacoit was killed, reportedly by the firing of his own accomplices, during an encounter with police near Punjab College on Jhang Road.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Ali Hassan alias Bhullu, along with three accomplices, had snatched a motorbike at gunpoint from a citizen.

A police picket was present nearby when the suspects spotted the police and opened straight fire at the checkpoint.

Police retaliated in self-defence, triggering an exchange of fire. During the encounter, Ali Hassan was killed, allegedly by the firing of his own accomplices, while the remaining suspects managed to escape from the scene.
