Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Abdul Raheem Shirazi directed divisional and circle officers to personally supervise the anti-begging campaign and ensure that major roads and intersections remain free of beggars.

He said that professional beggars not only disrupt traffic flow but also increase the risk of road accidents.

He urged citizens not to encourage such practices and to cooperate with traffic police in discouraging professional begging.

The CTO added that many habitual beggars exploit public sympathy by using fake disabilities, stressing that collective efforts would help improve both social conditions and traffic management in the provincial capital.
