RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has launched a digital traffic challan system, titled “One App,” introducing an evidence-based traffic enforcement mechanism in the city for the first time.

According to a CTP spokesperson here on Wednesday, the new system would ensure transparency by issuing traffic challans supported with video evidence. Traffic violations would be digitally recorded, securely stored, and made verifiable.

The spokesperson said the application would also enable on-the-spot verification of citizens’ identity cards, driving licences, and First Information Reports (FIR) record.

In addition, officials would be able to instantly verify vehicle ownership, fitness certificates, and route permits through the integrated system.

Authorities stated that digital action would also be taken against encroachments and environmental violations under the new mechanism.

The integrated system would further allow officials to access e-challan records, FIR status, and criminal history during enforcement operations.

Citizens would receive details of traffic violations through QR codes for greater transparency and convenience.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, said the use of digital evidence would ensure transparent and impartial enforcement of traffic laws.

He added that implementation of the “One App” system would help improve road discipline and promote safer travel across Rawalpindi.
