LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi on Tuesday visited the Badami Bagh Bus Stand to review traffic flow and transport arrangements ahead of Eidul-Azha.
SP Traffic Maqsood Lone, DSP Shahdara Yaseen Bhatti and Inspector Madani were also present .
According to Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi, traffic at the bus terminal remained smooth and under normal flow during the visit. The CTO also interacted with passengers and inquired about transport fares and facilities being provided at the terminal.
He said no transporter would be allowed to charge fares higher than the government-approved rates and warned that strict action would be taken against violators.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Shirazi further said action would also be taken against transporters involved in overloading passengers, including carrying passengers beyond the permitted seating capacity or on vehicle rooftops.
He said more than 1,000 vehicles had already faced action over complaints of overcharging and overloading.
The CTO urged citizens to immediately contact police helpline 15 in case of any complaints regarding transporters or traffic-related issues.
