RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam inspected the route of the central 13th Muharram procession in Taxila on Monday to review traffic arrangements.
During the visit, the CTO examined diversion points and alternative traffic routes and briefed traffic officers and personnel on the procession route and the contingency traffic plan.
More than 60 traffic police personnel have been deployed to regulate traffic during the procession.
Additional staff have also been assigned to alternative routes to facilitate commuters and minimize inconvenience to the public.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The CTO said comprehensive parking arrangements have been made for mourners participating in the procession. He directed traffic officers to treat citizens with courtesy while performing their duties and instructed wardens to remain vigilant for suspicious individuals and unattended objects.
Farhan Aslam said every effort would be made to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent inconvenience to the public during the 13th Muharram procession.
