CTO Lahore breaks Iftar with traffic wardens at Liberty Chowk

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr Muhammad Athar Waheed observed the first fast of Ramazan and offered Iftar with traffic wardens in the field at Liberty Chowk on the first day of fasting

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr Muhammad Athar Waheed observed the first fast of Ramazan and offered Iftar with traffic wardens in the field at Liberty Chowk on the first day of fasting.

SP Traffic Headquarters Mansoor-ul-Hassan, DSP Headquarters Sohail Iftikhar and Circle Officer Muhammad Umar also joined the wardens in the field to break their fast, demonstrating solidarity with personnel performing duty on roads during Ramazan.

While divisional SPs and circle officers arranged Iftar with traffic wardens at various major intersections across the city to boost their morale and acknowledge their services.

Talking on the occasion, Dr Athar said that, like previous years, Lahore Traffic Police are ensuring smooth traffic flow during Ramazan so that citizens could reach their homes in time to break their fast.

He said additional personnel have been deployed during Iftar and Taraweeh timings to facilitate commuters and minimise inconvenience on roads.

The CTO added that fasting teaches patience and tolerance, urging citizens to respect traffic rules during Ramazan and create ease for others on the roads.

He further said that Traffic Response Units are active across the city to eliminate wrong parking and ensure that citizens could reach their destinations on time.
