CTD operation in Quetta’s outskirts eliminates nine terrorists; four personnel martyred

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) A major intelligence-based operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Quetta’s suburban areas of Kachlak and Nohsar resulted in the elimination of nine terrorists, underscoring the professional capabilities of law enforcement agencies.

Shahid Rind, Aide to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Political and Media Affairs, praised the CTD and other security forces for their successful action against terrorist elements. He added that the sacrifices of security personnel in the fight against terrorism will always be remembered by the nation.

During the exchange of fire, four brave CTD personnel embraced martyrdom.

Expressing deep grief over their loss, Shahid Rind said the martyrs offered their lives for the peace of the homeland.He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured personnel, assuring that the Government of Balochistan is providing them with all possible medical facilities.

Shahid Rind emphasized that terrorist elements cannot sabotage peace in Balochistan. He reaffirmed that the state will continue to take decisive action against hostile forces with full strength. He added that the sacrifices of martyrs will not go in vain, and operations against terrorism will persist without discrimination until its complete eradication.
