ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Afshin Rehman conducted extensive operations in Sikandarabad, Supply, Nawanshahr, Thatthi Ahmad Khan, Chamathi, and Mangal against illegal medical practitioners, quackery, price violations, illegal petroleum sales, and other irregularities.
During the inspections in Sikandarabad, Supply, and Nawanshahr, multiple medical stores and clinics were thoroughly checked. Authorities sealed two medical stores after recovering expired medicines. The establishments were found operating without valid licenses from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission (KP-HEC), while unqualified individuals were allegedly providing medical treatment as doctors.

In separate actions in Thatthi Ahmad Khan, Chamathi, and Mangal, general stores, fruit and vegetable shops, medical stores, and clinics were inspected. Fines were imposed on multiple violations of rules and regulations.
In Chamathi, another clinic was sealed, and the responsible individual was also handed over to police for further legal action.
The district administration reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against quackery, illegal medical practices, and the sale of expired medicines, stating that such operations will continue to ensure the provision of safe, legal, and quality healthcare facilities to the public.
