Crackdown intensifies against illegal Afghan nationals in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) In line with government directives, the district administration has intensified actions against illegally residing Afghan nationals in Abbottabad.

Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Tariq carried out an inspection visit to the Jogan Nawan Shehr area as part of the ongoing campaign.

During the inspection, authorities checked various locations and businesses to verify the legal status of individuals involved in commercial activities.

On the occasion, a shop belonging to an Afghan national was sealed on the spot for operating illegally, and legal proceedings were initiated against the concerned individual.

According to the district administration, operations against illegal foreign nationals will continue in accordance with government policy. Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram has directed relevant officials to ensure strict implementation of government orders and to continue regular inspections to curb illegal activities in the city.

The administration also urged citizens to cooperate with authorities by reporting any illegal activities so that the rule of law can be effectively maintained.
