Crackdown against unregistered, token tax defaulter vehicles commenced in KP

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) A comprehensive crackdown against unregistered vehicles and token tax defaulters has commenced from today (Wednesday) by Excise and Motor Registration Authority KP.

According to a press release issued here, special mobile squads have been deployed at key locations across the city to ensure strict enforcement of motor vehicle registration and tax laws.

During this campaign, vehicles found without proper registration, valid number plates, or up-to-date token tax payment will be stopped, inspected, and seized in accordance with the applicable rules.

All impounded vehicles will be subjected to fines, penalties and completion of the registration process before their release.

The initiative aims to enhance compliance, improve road documentation and strengthen government revenue recovery.

Vehicle owners are advised to ensure that their registration and token tax payments are up to date to avoid inconvenience and legal action.
