SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The district administration inspected 1,125 vehicles, impounded 38 ones at various police stations, and imposed fines amounting to Rs190,000 during a crackdown against public service vehicles using illegal LPG cylinders in the year 2026.
According to the official report issued here on Wednesday, Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Malik Muhammad Tahir has directed strict legal action against violators and constituted special enforcement squads to carry out daily inspections across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry has ordered an intensified crackdown against public service vehicles using illegal LPG cylinders to ensure public safety and secure transportation operations.
He said that the bus stand owners have also been instructed not to allow vehicles fitted with illegal LPG cylinders to operate from their terminals. Authorities warned that legal action would also be taken against bus stands found facilitating such vehicles.
The DC said the measures were aimed at protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring a safer transport system. He added that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
