CPWB athletes secure prominent positions in 100m and relay races

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, children of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab participated for the first time in the Aitchison Inter-School Under-15 Athletics Championship 2026.

According to a spokesperson for the CPWB, the participation of the bureau’s children in the inter-school sports competition was made possible through the special efforts of Chairperson Sarah Ahmad.

The children of the bureau displayed outstanding performance by securing prominent positions in the 100-metre race and 400-metre relay race, bringing laurels to the institution.

Chairperson Sarah Ahmad attended the championship as chief guest and distributed medals among the children who showed remarkable performance. She also appreciated and encouraged the participants for their dedication and talent.

Speaking on the occasion, she said sports activities play a vital role in promoting confidence, discipline and positive abilities among children. She said the bureau was committed to encouraging co-curricular activities for the physical, mental and social development of children.
