CPO vows foolproof security

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain chaired a meeting with members of the Peace Committee and reviewed security arrangements, maintenance of law & order and promotion of religious harmony

during Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to a police spokesman, the meeting was held at the Police Lines Complex where prominent religious scholars including Maulana Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, Maulana Riaz Kharl and Maulana Yousaf Anwar along with President Anjuman Tajran Amin Butt, participated.

SSP Operations Imran Ahmad Malik and SP Lyallpur Town Abid Zafar also attended the session.

The meeting discussed in details on security measures for Muharram processions and gatherings, inter-sect harmony and steps to ensure peaceful observance of the holy month across the district.

Addressing the participants, CPO Tanveer Hussain said that the police would ensure foolproof security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram at all costs.
