CPO visits crime scene, reviews investigation in double murder case

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani visited Dhamiyal Police Station to review progress in the investigation of a double murder case, police officials said on Wednesday.

During the visit, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Dhamiyal Police Station briefed the CPO on the investigation carried out so far.

The CPO directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation, SP Saddar, and ASP Saddar to personally supervise the investigation process and ensure continuous monitoring of developments in the case.

According to a police spokesperson, senior officers have been instructed to provide moment-by-moment updates regarding the progress of the investigation.

CPO Hamdani further ordered the SHO and investigating officer to ensure the collection of all technical and other relevant evidence related to the murder case. He emphasized that the investigation must be conducted strictly on merit and that those involved should be arrested at the earliest possible.

He stated that professional investigation, effective challan submission, and securing convictions for the accused were of utmost importance in such serious cases.

The CPO also visited the crime scene and the surrounding area as part of the review process.

“Provision of justice without discrimination in serious cases is being ensured,” the CPO added, according to the police spokesperson.
