CPO orders tight security for Youm-e-Ali

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar on Thursday directed police officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements across the city in connection with Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA) as protection of life and property of the citizens is the top priority of Faisalabad Police.

He was chairing a meeting at Police Community Engagement Center where he also reviewed security plans for the occasion.

He ordered that all religious gatherings and processions should be monitored through CCTV cameras to maintain strict surveillance and prevent any untoward incident.

He directed police authorities to implement stringent checking at all entry and exit points of the city to ensure effective screening.

He further instructed that police teams should conduct continuous patrolling in sensitive areas and important locations in outskirts of the city.

The reserve police force should remain on stand-to at Police Lines to respond immediately in case of any emergency, he added.

The CPO emphasized coordinated deployment and vigilance, stating that comprehensive security measures would be implemented to maintain law & order during the religious observance.

SSP Operations Furqan Bilal, SSP Investigation Saleem Abbas Kalachi and Town SPs were also present in the meeting.
