CPO orders swift crackdown on criminals

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar directed the police officers to accelerate action against criminals involved in murder, robbery, theft and highway snatching.

Chairing a crime meeting of Jaranwala Circle police officers, he reviewed law & order and progress on investigations.

He also examined the performance of police stations and discussed various measures to strengthen crime control and improve investigation standards.

Addressing the participants, CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar instructed the police officers to ensure early arrest of the accused involved in serious criminal cases and bring pending investigations to a logical conclusion without delay. He directed investigation officers to strictly follow merit while conducting inquiries so that cases could stand strong in courts. He also directed SHOs to further improve patrolling and search operations in their respective jurisdictions to prevent criminal activities.

He ordered strict monitoring of motorcycle and mobile patrols during banking hours and instructed police officers to keep the patrolling teams alert while checking their movements through tracking systems.

Emphasizing the importance of crime tracing, CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar directed police officers to intensify efforts for the arrest of proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals. Effective action against such elements would significantly help reduce crime, he added.

He further instructed police officials to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints and treat citizens visiting police stations with courtesy and respect.

He reminded police officers that protection of lives and property of the citizens is top priority of the police and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

SP Jaranwala Hafiz Muhammad Imtiaz, DSP Circle Jaranwala Tahir Siddiq along with station house officers and investigation officers from the circle were present in the meeting.
