FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar directed the police officers on Wednesday to further strengthen patrolling and checking to bring additional reduction in vehicle theft incidents.

Chairing a crime meeting of Circle Saddar at his office, he reviewed the overall crime situation and performance of the circle, with particular focus on vehicle theft cases.

He instructed police officers to enhance surveillance at important locations, crowded places and parking areas to deter criminal activities and prevent theft incidents.

He directed the police officers to complete investigations in pending cases and ensure immediate submission of challans to the courts. Delay in investigations weakens prosecution and undermines public confidence in policing, he added.

He ordered for intensifying operations against proclaimed offenders, drug peddlers and illegal weapon holders.

He emphasized strict action against record-holders and organized gangs involved in theft and robbery, directing police officers to ensure concrete results through targeted crackdowns.

In view of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, he instructed the police officers to ensure effective security arrangements at mosques and imam bargahs in addition to maintaining vigilance to provide peaceful environment for worshippers.

He made it clear that poor performance would invite disciplinary action while the officers demonstrating outstanding performance would be duly appreciated.
