CPO conducts surprise visit of various areas to inspect security arrangements, SHO suspended over negligence

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera conducted a late-night inspection of various areas across the city to review security arrangements, mobile patrolling, and snap-checking operations.

During the visit, the CPO met officers and personnel deployed at different security points and issued instructions aimed at ensuring effective policing and public safety.

Expressing dissatisfaction over negligence in the performance of duty, he ordered the suspension and close-line posting of a Station House Officer (SHO).

Addressing police officials, CPO Sukhera emphasized that officers and personnel entrusted with protecting the lives and property of citizens must perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism.

He warned that negligence or carelessness would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

"There is no room in the police force for officers or personnel who fail to discharge their responsibilities with diligence," the CPO said, reiterating his commitment to strict accountability and improved policing standards.
