Court set date to indict journalist

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday rejected the plea of journalist Matiullah Jan against court jurisdiction and set a date for his indictment in drugs and illegal weapon case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday rejected the plea of journalist Matiullah Jan against court jurisdiction and set a date for his indictment in drugs and illegal weapon case.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case against the said journalist.

During the hearing, the court gave a reserved verdict after the arguments of the parties were completed. The court fixed the case for indictment and adjourned the hearing of the case until February 19.
