Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka announced the verdict under Section 13 of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May 20th, 2026) A local court in Islamabad on Wednesday sentenced Umar Hayat, convicted in the murder case of social media influencer Sana Yousaf, to two years imprisonment in a separate arms case linked to the incident.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka announced the verdict under Section 13 of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance. The court also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on the convict and ordered an additional one-month jail term in case of non-payment.
With the latest sentence, Umar Hayat’s total imprisonment now stands at 23 years, while the cumulative fines imposed on him have reached Rs2.6 million.
The development comes a day after the same court awarded Hayat the death sentence in the murder case of Sana Yousaf and imposed a fine of Rs2 million.
According to the court’s short verdict issued earlier, the convict was also handed multiple prison terms under different charges.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment along with a Rs200,000 fine under Section 392, while another 10-year sentence and Rs200,000 fine were awarded under Section 499.
Additionally, the court sentenced him to one year imprisonment and imposed a Rs100,000 fine under Section 411.
Overall, the court had awarded a combined 21-year prison sentence and fines amounting to Rs2.5 million in the murder-related case.
Sana Yousaf, a teenage social media influencer, was killed at her residence in Islamabad on June 2, 2025, shortly after turning 17.
She had gained significant popularity online, with more than one million followers across social media platforms, including over 800,000 followers on TikTok, where she shared lip-sync videos, beauty content and skincare-related posts.
