LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Court Reporters Association Lahore held its elections for the 2026–27 term at the Lahore High Court on Monday, resulting in the election of a new cabinet.
Senior journalist Ibadul Haq was elected President of the association. Other elected office-bearers include Yousaf Shah as Senior Vice President, Munir Bajwa as Vice President, and Shakeel Saeed as Secretary.
Additionally, Naeem Malik was elected Vice President (Lower Courts), Jamaluddin Jamali as Treasurer, Affan Riaz as Secretary Information, and Ijlal Haider Zaidi as Head of Digital Media.
The election process was supervised by senior court reporter Hamid Nawaz, who performed duties as Election Commissioner.
A large number of senior journalists and court reporters attended the event, including Shaheen Atiq, Moeen Azhar, Qamar Zaman Bhatti, Wajeeh Ahmed Sheikh, Shoaib Shah, Shehzad Javed, Amrez Khan, and Aamir Riaz, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, President-elect Ibad-ul-Haq thanked the members for their trust and vowed to run the association’s affairs in an efficient and professional manner.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for departed colleagues. Participants congratulated the newly elected cabinet and expressed full confidence in their leadership.
