KARACHI: Session court ordered Monday, that all legal proceedings against alleged drug trafficker Anmol, widely known as “Pinky,” will now take place inside the Central Jail Complex.
Additional Sessions Judge Zahoor Ahmed Hakro issued this order on Monday. He said authorities must not bring the accused to City Courts due to serious security concerns.
The judge directed officials to set up a temporary court inside the Central Jail Complex, local media reported.
He also ordered that a judicial magistrate must personally visit the jail to oversee remand and other proceedings.
The court instructed authorities to carry out all future hearings under strict security inside the prison until further notice.
Police registered the case at Baghdadi Police Station as FIR No. 147/2026. The case includes charges under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code along with drug trafficking allegations.
Authorities said the case involves serious criminal accusations. Therefore, they stressed the need for maximum security during every stage of the legal process.
Police submitted an application to the court requesting tighter security arrangements. They warned that bringing Anmol to City Courts could create serious law and order issues.
Law enforcement officials also said the suspect’s movement could increase the risk of violence. The court agreed and prioritized public safety and security of court staff.
Police formed a five-member investigation team to handle the case. A Deputy Superintendent of Police from Lyari leads the team.
Officers from Mithadar, Chakiwara, Garden, and Baghdadi police stations are also part of the investigation. All officers will remain active with full security support and official resources.
The case has gained major media attention in Karachi. Local reports refer to Anmol as the “Cocaine Queen” due to the nature of the allegations.
Authorities say they have also implemented special security measures due to possible threats from rival criminal groups.
Separately, Darakhshan Police have filed a review petition challenging an earlier judicial remand order. Officials have not shared the details of the petition.
The Karachi court moved all hearings in Anmol “Pinky’s” case inside Central Jail to improve security. Officials say this decision protects the public, court staff, and law enforcement while the investigation continues under strict supervision.
