ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Wednesday granted former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur exemption from personal appearance in an audio leak case and adjourned further proceedings until September 21.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch heard the case. During the hearing, the court considered an application filed on behalf of Ali Amin Gandapur seeking exemption from personal appearance. The request stated that he was unable to attend the proceedings due to security concerns.
After reviewing the application, the court approved the request and allowed the former chief minister to remain absent from the hearing.

The case concerns an alleged audio leak and is linked to a criminal complaint registered against Ali Amin Gandapur at Golra Police Station. No detailed arguments on the merits of the case were heard during the proceedings, as the hearing focused on the request for exemption from appearance.
With the exemption application accepted, the court will take up the matter again on the next scheduled date. Both the prosecution and defence are expected to continue presenting their positions as the case proceeds through the legal process.
