Court grants bail to Bushra Bibi in PTI protest case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday approved bail for Bushra Bibi in a case linked to a protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The order was issued during a hearing at the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, where the court reviewed arguments from both sides.

The case was heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Aamir Zia.

Barrister Salman appeared on behalf of Bushra Bibi and sought bail in the matter. The prosecution opposed the request and argued against the grant of bail.

After hearing the submissions, the court approved bail for Bushra Bibi in the case registered at Ramna Police Station. The court directed that bail be furnished on surety bonds worth Rs 50,000.

The case relates to a protest activity for which an FIR was lodged at Ramna Police Station.
