Court extends PTI leader Seemabia Tahir’s pre-arrest bail till March 25 in tweets case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The District and Sessions Court on Wednesday extended the pre-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Seemabia Tahir until March 25 in a case related to alleged anti-state tweets.

The hearing could not proceed as the case record was not available, prompting the court to direct authorities to present the complete record at the next hearing.

The case was heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

During the hearing, the court took up the petition filed by Seemabia Tahir, who has sought protection from arrest in a

case registered over alleged posts on social media.

However, arguments on the bail petition could not take place because the official record of the case was not available

in court. The judge directed the relevant authorities to ensure that the complete record is presented at the next hearing.

The court extended the interim pre-arrest bail of Saimabia Tahir until March 25 to allow time for the record to be submitted and for arguments to be heard.

The case had been registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, which is investigating the matter related to alleged anti-state tweets.
