Court defers PTI founder threat case until March 28

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Saturday postponed the hearing of a case related to alleged threats made against a woman judge by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), citing the absence of a response from the Islamabad High Court.

The case was heard by Civil Judge Mian Azhar Nadeem.

During the proceedings, the court noted that a letter sent to the Islamabad High Court has not yet received a reply. Due to this, the court adjourned the hearing until March 28.

The case relates to allegations against PTI founder over remarks said to involve threats toward a woman judge. A police case in this matter has been registered at Margalla police station in Islamabad.

The next hearing is scheduled for March 28, when the court is expected to review the status of the reply and decide on the future course of the case.
