Court convicts man in sister, brother-in-law murder case

A sessions court on Friday awarded death sentence on two counts to accused Imran for the murder of his sister and brother-in-law in a 2023 case

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) A sessions court on Friday awarded death sentence on two counts to accused Imran for the murder of his sister and brother-in-law in a 2023 case.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Shoaib Anwar Qureshi also imposed a fine of Rs1 million on the convict.

According to the prosecution, the case was registered by the Nishtar Colony Police Station after Imran shot dead his sister and her husband over a property dispute. The accused, identified as Imran alias Bhola, also injured his mother during the firing incident.

Prosecutor Shabbir Khan presented 17 witnesses to prove the charges against the accused.

The victims were identified as Shagufta Parveen and her husband Liaquat Ali.
