ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Monday adjourned the proceedings in a private complaint filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding alleged deaths and injuries during the party’s November 26 protest.
The hearing was adjourned without any progress after PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan did not record his statement before the court.
District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case. During the hearing, the judge asked PTI counsel to confirm a new date for proceedings after the statement could not be recorded again.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>PTI lawyer Latif Khosa requested the court to fix the hearing in August, saying he would be out of the country during July. However, Judge Rana responded that court holidays would fall in August and suggested a date in July instead.
The court later adjourned the case until July 15.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and senior lawyer Latif Khosa appeared before the court during the proceedings.
