Court acquits three murder accused

An Additional Sessions Court has acquitted all accused nominated in a murder case registered at Sheikh Fazil Police Station after the prosecution failed to prove charges against them

BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) An Additional Sessions Court has acquitted all accused nominated in a murder case registered at Sheikh Fazil Police Station after the prosecution failed to prove charges against them.

Additional Sessions Judge Sajjad Afzal announced the judgment upon completion of trial proceedings in the case relating to the murder of Muhammad Tufail, a resident of village 112/EB.

According to the prosecution, the victim was allegedly strangled by unidentified persons two years ago and his body was later found hanging from a tree. The deceased’s widow had nominated three individuals in the FIR on suspicion.

However, the court observed that the evidence presented by the prosecution was insufficient to establish guilt beyond doubt.

After reviewing witness statements and available record, the court ordered the acquittal of all nominated accused due to lack of evidence.
