Couple and child die after lightning hits house in Shangla

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) A woman, her husband, and their child from the same family were killed when lightning struck their home in Shangla on Wednesday.

According to residents of the area , the incident occurred in the Lavlani area of Shangla, where lightning struck a house, killing three members of the same family, private news channel reported.

Local residents rushed to the scene and pulled the bodies from the debris. The deceased man was identified as Yar Mohammad.

The sudden death of all three family members including a woman, her husband and their child left the community in shock and grief. A wave of sorrow and fear spread across the area following the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, intermittent rain continues in the Shangla, Buner and Swat regions.
