ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday urged the opposition to rise above personal and political differences for the sake of national stability, emphasizing that the country’s peace and progress must come before partisan interests.
While exclusively speaking to a private news channel, Rana Sanaullah urged the opposition to set aside political rivalries and prioritize national interest, stressing that unity is essential to ensure stability and peace in the country.
He said the current situation demands collective wisdom and responsible politics rather than confrontation, especially at a time when the country faces serious security challenges.
He revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited opposition leaders to attend an in-camera security briefing to take them into confidence on key national security matters.
Sanaullah said the government follows a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and is determined to eliminate the menace with full force.
He added that the government is ready to share its comprehensive strategy with political stakeholders to build national consensus.
He also warned that external elements were attempting to exploit internal divisions and destabilize the country, emphasizing the need for political unity at this critical juncture.
Referring to the opposition’s response, he said they had assured the government that they would consult their leadership on the matter and formally communicate their reply soon.
