Counterfeit currency recovered, one arrested

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Kohat police on Saturday recovered counterfeit Currency of Rs. 50,000 from a man within jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station.

According to police, acting on a tip off, Station House Officer (SHO) Saddar starting checking of vehicles. During checking, counterfeit currency of 50,000 rupees were recovered from a man.

The man who was reported to be resident of Takht Nasrati was arrested on the spot.

Meanwhile, SHO Mills Police Station arrested Raham Din who was wanted to police for attempt to murder case. Police authorities have reaffirmed commitment that operation against criminals would continue with any discrimination to ensure the safety of citizens and the maintenance of law and order across the district.
