Control room established to ensure provision of quality food during Ramzan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority has established a special complaint control room to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public during the holy month of Ramzan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority has established a special complaint control room to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public during the holy month of Ramzan.

According to a spokesperson for the Authority, the control room would remain operational round the clock enabling citizens to lodge complaints against substandard, unsafe and adulterated food items without delay.

Citizens can register their complaints by calling the toll-free number 0800-37432 or by sending a message via WhatsApp at 0345-1009348.

Director General KP Food Authority, Kashif Iqbal Jilani stated that all complaints received would be addressed on a priority basis adding that food safety teams have been directed to ensure prompt action. He said that strict legal action would be taken against those found involved in violations.

He urged citizens to support the authority in its ongoing drive against food adulteration and to promptly report any violations so that the availability of safe and hygienic food during Ramazan can be ensured for all.
