Congo: Confirmed Ebola cases rise to 956

KINSHASA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 21st Jun, 2026) The Democratic Republic ‌of Congo said on Saturday the number ⁠of confirmed Ebola cases in the country had risen to ‌956, ⁠including 247 deaths.

In the same context, the World Health Organisation warned of the accelerating spread of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, stressing that current response efforts remain insufficient to control the epidemic, despite a significant expansion in medical and laboratory capacities in recent weeks.
