ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 10th, 2026) Conflicting accounts have emerged regarding an incident in Bahrain that reportedly injured 32 civilians, as a video circulating online appeared to contradict official statements from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).

CENTCOM said on social media that claims by Russian and Iranian media were misleading, asserting that the injuries resulted from an Iranian drone strike on a residential area, not from a US missile interception. The command added that the casualties included children.

However, footage shared online by multiple users, including investigative outlet Drop Site news, showed a missile being launched from within Bahrain, flying at low altitude before disappearing from view. Local reports suggested that a failed interceptor missile may have struck a residential area, causing injuries and leaving several civilians in critical condition. One user reportedly geolocated the launch near a Bahraini air defence site.

CENTCOM also confirmed that major US military operations in the middle East continue, with forces engaged in both defensive and offensive actions across the region.

In a related development, Bahrain’s Public Prosecution is seeking the death penalty for citizens accused of photographing damage from Iranian attacks. Authorities allege the defendants committed “high betrayal” by taking photos in restricted areas.

According to Gulf News, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry stated that two individuals were arrested on March 1 for misusing social media to film and broadcast live videos that could threaten public safety and order, warning that such content could influence public opinion and compromise national security.
