Commissioner visits Sahiwal tehsil; inspects THQ Hospital, Nigehban Ramazan Centers

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) The Commissioner made a surprise visit to Tehsil Sahiwal on Wednesday and inspected the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Nigehban Ramazan Centers, different areas of the city and the affected areas adjacent to the Jhelum River.

The Medical Superintendent at THQ Hospital, while giving a briefing, said that all necessary treatment facilities are being provided to the patients. The Commissioner inspected various departments and directed that no compromise should be made on cleanliness, discipline and availability of medicines.

While visiting the Ramazan Bazaar and Maryam’s guest table, he directed to further improve the arrangements and said that relief should be provided to the deserving people with dignity and convenience.

The Commissioner also visited the Assistant Commissioner’s Office and directed the administration to keep the pace of ongoing development works to make Sahiwal a model city.

He said that the government is providing huge funds for this purpose, so all the departments should perform their duties responsibly and diligently. He directed the Pera Force and price Control Magistrates to intensify operations on a daily basis and said that quality food items should be available to the public at government rates.

The Assistant Commissioner gave a detailed briefing about the wheat crops submerged by flood water on the banks of the Jhelum River. The Commissioner visited the Model Rehri Bazaar and Langarwala Pattan and inspected the affected fields. He directed that practical steps be taken for immediate assistance to the affected farmers and compensation for their losses so that they can get timely relief.
