Commissioner urges citizens to purchase items as per officially fixed rates

NAWABSHAH Feb 18 (APP) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 18th Feb, 2026) The Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Shahmir Khan Bhutto, has announced that district administrations of Sanghar and Naushahro Feroze have issued official notifications to provide relief to public in prices of essential food items during the holy month of Ramazan.

Deputy Commissioner Naushahro Feroze, Muhammad Arsalan Saleem, and Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Sarah Javed, have formally notified the revised prices of essential commodities.

Commissioner urged citizens of all three districts of the division to purchase items according to officially fixed rates set by district administrations. He said that all possible measures would be taken to ensure relief for public during the month of fasting across the three districts of the division.

Strict action will be taken against those found charging prices higher than notified rates. Meanwhile Complaint cells have been established at both district and tehsil levels throughout the division to address public grievances.

All Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars have been directed to monitor the auction process in markets every morning.

Commissioner also instructed all Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Mukhtiarkars, and Assistant Directors of the Bureau of Supply and Prices to ensure that official price lists are displayed at shops and stalls and to conduct daily inspections to verify sales at the prescribed rates.

Municipal and town administrations have been directed to ensure cleanliness arrangements in markets and mosques during Ramadan. Security measures in markets and mosques during Taraweeh prayers are to be ensured, while maintaining the sanctity and respect of Ramazan in markets, streets, and public places.

Additional lighting arrangements have been ordered for shopping centers after sunset. Commissioner has also directed HESCO and SEPCO authorities to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehri, Iftar, and Taraweeh prayers throughout the holy month of Ramazan.
