Commissioner Sukkur Visits Khairpur, Reviews Muharram Arrangements, Inspects Control Room

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi on Wednesday visited Khairpur to review security and public service arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

On the occasion, he inspected the central control room established at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Khairpur and reviewed the monitoring system, coordination mechanisms, and measures taken to deal with emergency situations.

The Divisional Commissioner directed concerned officers to ensure foolproof arrangements for security, traffic management, cleanliness, lighting, drinking water, and medical facilities during Muharram-ul-Haram. He said all institutions must fulfill their responsibilities through mutual cooperation and effective coordination to provide mourners with a peaceful and comfortable environment.

Later, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Altaf Ahmed Chachar and SSP Khairpur Ameer Saud Magsi, the Commissioner visited Panjgah Chowk, Naya Goth, Luqman, and other sensitive points in the city. He reviewed routes of mourning processions, venues of majalis, and security arrangements, issued necessary instructions to relevant officers, and stressed that all arrangements must be completed on time.

Assistant Commissioner (AC), Khairpur Umama Solangi, DIB Incharge Ali Gul Mallah and other concerned officers were also present during the visit.
