Commissioner, RPO review Eid-ul-Azha arrangements at cattle market

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and Regional Police Officer Ghazi Salahuddin conducted detailed visits to the temporary cattle market on Jhangiwala Road, the AC Bus Stand, and Bahawalpur Railway Station to review arrangements being made for citizens and travelers ahead of Eid al-Azha

During the visits, they were accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza, District Police Officer Rana Abdul Wahab, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Iqra Mubeen, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Mian Muhammad Asif, officials of para force, and officers from relevant departments.

At the temporary cattle market established on Jhangiwala Road, the Commissioner and RPO inspected camps set up by the Livestock Department, Municipal Corporation, Rescue 1122, and the Health Department.

They reviewed facilities being provided to traders and citizens, including security, parking arrangements, sanitation, and public amenities.

Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and RPO Ghazi Salahuddin also interacted with traders and inquired about the availability of shaded areas, cold drinking water, and other facilities.

Later, the Commissioner and RPO visited the AC Bus Stand Bahawalpur to inspect arrangements made for passengers during Eid-ul-Azha. The officials reviewed cleanliness measures, passenger facilities, security arrangements, signboards, and shaded waiting areas established for travelers. Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed authorities to ensure strict cleanliness arrangements at the bus stand and emphasized that passengers should be provided with a clean, safe, and comfortable environment during the Eid holidays.
