BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia visited the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic at Dera Bakha,
established under the public welfare vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to review
healthcare services, availability of medicines, cleanliness standards, staff attendance,
and overall administrative arrangements.
During the visit, the Commissioner inspected the clinic's Outpatient Department (OPD), wards, and other healthcare facilities.
He also interacted with patients and their attendants to obtain first-hand feedback regarding the quality of medical services, availability of medicines, and the attitude and professionalism of doctors and healthcare staff. The Commissioner listened carefully to patients' complaints and suggestions and directed the concerned officials to address identified issues immediately and take necessary measures for further improvement.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia said that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provision of quality, timely, and dignified healthcare services to citizens remains one of the Punjab Government's foremost priorities.

The Commissioner directed doctors, paramedical staff, and the clinic administration to ensure courteous treatment of patients, maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, guarantee the uninterrupted availability of medicines, and ensure 100 percent attendance of healthcare personnel. He further stressed that every citizen visiting a government health facility should be treated with dignity and respect and provided with timely, efficient, and high-quality medical care.
