Commissioner reviews health, sanitation and price control measures

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar visited Samundri tehsil and reviewed healthcare, sanitation and price control arrangements.

During his visit to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Samundri, he inspected various wards and appreciated the donation of four new dialysis machines by the philanthropic organization Rah-e-Insaniat.

With the addition of these machines, the hospital now has a total of 20 dialysis units, enabling faster and improved treatment services for kidney patients.

He termed the provision of RO filtration plants and medicines worth millions of rupees by the welfare organization a commendable step to strengthen healthcare facilities.

Later, Raja Jahangir Anwar visited Chak No.218-GB to inspect the ongoing dewatering process of stagnant ponds.

He reviewed drainage work to remove sewage-contaminated water from a vacant plot and examined on-site safety measures.

Heavy machinery under “Suthra Punjab” campaign including dewatering sets was actively engaged in the operation.

He appreciated the efforts of tehsil administration and said that emergency measures were underway across the division to drain sewage water from ponds and stagnant pools.
